What is an unconference?

It is all up to you! This is a participant-driven meeting, which means that you can talk about whatever topic you want, as long as it concerns directly or indirectly space or aeronautics.

3

Do I have to work in the space field to attend?

Not at all! Having an interest in space is largely enough to attend to SpaceUp. This is the wide panel of the participants’ backgrounds that makes all the interest of each SpaceUp session.

4

Do I have to pay?

Yes, the fee is 25 euros, which includes registration, lunches and coffee breaks.

5

Can I give a talk?

Sure! You can definitely go for it. All you have to do is to bring any material you will need (slides, laptop, etc). Each talk is supposed to last between 5 and 15 minutes, in this way every participant will be free to share his opinion and ideas. If everyone is encouraged to share and talk during SpaceUp, you don’t have to do your speech on your own! Talk to other participants and share interests with them are also part of the game.

6

Can I bring my children?

Yes, kids are encouraged to come and participate to the session. Children activities will possibly be organized. However, note that registration may be required for them too, and no childcare will be provided.

Can I be involved even if I can’t make it in person?

Yes, sure! You can send us a @60secondstoland video, or join us and discuss on Twitter and Facebook.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes, and they will be included in the registration fees.
